Early Friday morning, September 10th, Scott spoke to the students at Trinity Christian High School. He then arrived
at Christian Missionary & Alliance Church to conduct an all day PRO-LIFE 101 Seminar to 70 participants, which included
Crisis Pregnancy Centers, Right to Life Chapters, and individuals. The seminar was powerful and everyone in attendance
left better equipped to fight the fight for the unborn. Friday evening Scott shared words of encouragement to staff, board
members and volunteers of Labor of Love Ministries.
Saturday morning, September 11th at 8:00 a.m. approximately 15 pastors joined in prayer at Christian Missionary &
Alliance Church for A Pastors Prayer Breakfast. Once again, Scott Klusendorf challenged the audience of Pastors about their
pro-life views. Pastor David Goodin, Senior Pastor at C&MA Church, spoke on why his church supports Labor of Love and why
he feels it is important. Sunday morning, Scott spoke at both Covenant Evangelical Methodist Church and Christian Missionary & Alliance Church.
The highlight of this 4 day event came on Saturday evening, September 11th when 250 people joined Scott & the staff of
Labor of Love Ministries for an incredible evening called "A Time to Remember". This evening was an emotional evening, an
inspiring evening, and a challenging evening. From a testimony by Kevin & Cindy Buhr, adoptive parents from Indiana, to a
moving slide presentation about Labor of Love Ministries, to a song written especially for Labor of Love Ministries by Pastor
Scott Mattern, to our keynote speaker, Scott Klusendorf...the evening was exceptional. Those in attendance were left not only
with a greater knowledge and appreciation about the work of this wonderful ministry, but they were encouraged in their faith
as they saw first hand how God has and continues to work miracles in the lives of the young women and babies who are placed in
the care of the ministry.

Dr. Mike Rollins, Co-Founder and President of the Board of Labor of Love Ministries had these words to share on this evening:
"After years of planning, Labor of Love Ministries, Inc., was founded in April, 1999. Originally founded as New Beginnings
Christian Maternity Home, in 2002 New Beginnings merged with the local crisis pregnancy center to become Labor of Love Ministries
operating both the maternity home and the crisis pregnancy center (Choices for Life). As I reflect on those early years, I am
humbled by what has been accomplished, often despite our lack of knowledge and resources. Truly, God has established and is
sustaining this ministry.
All of this could not have been accomplished without the generous giving of so many. People and organizations have given
of their time, their talents, and their financial resources to help us accomplish our mission...changing the world! How do we
change the world? One life at a time! If nothing else, Labor of Love Ministries is a shining example of what can be accomplished
in individual lives through the collective efforts of many.
I believe that each one of us, deep in our hearts, have a desire to impact the world in a
positive and lasting way. We are able to do this most assuredly when we impact the lives of others. To date, 21 women have been served through New Beginnings Maternity Home,
and 21 children have been given the opportunity to experience life, grow, and impact their world in ways we can only now imagine.
Through these (and future) lives, I see productive adults in various fields - medicine, business, education, missions, and many
others. Choices for Life Pregnancy Center has also ministered to 88 young women in crisis pregnancy situations, with a total of
28 of those young women CHANGING their minds about aborting their babies! Praise
God!
As we look to the future, we see expanded opportunities to serve. Our primary goal is to consistently meet our annual
budgetary needs. This will allow us to fund a number of positions which have been filled but not funded. These include Executive
Director, House Parents, part-time Social Worker, Respite Relief House Parents, and various other services which are essential to
the daily operations of the home and the crisis pregnancy center. OUR long term vision includes expanded facilities including separate
adjoining house parent quarters, a conference room, classrooms, a counseling center, additional facilities for residents, and a
separate "transitional" home for mothers who want to parent, but need help acquiring the skills and means to live and parent
independently.
I want to thank each one of you for joining us this evening in celebration of the many lives that have already been touched, and in
memory of the many lives who have been lost. There is still much to be accomplished. Many more lives can be saved, changed, and
blessed through our combined efforts. I believe former Governor Casey said it best when he said, "the issue is not when life begins,
the issue is when love begins." WILL YOU BE THE ONE to join us in loving the mothers and the babies, both the unborn and the
born?
| May God multiply the blessings in their lives as well as yours!
In Deep Appreciation,
Mike Rollins, MD
